Department of Community Ministries
The Community Ministries Committee provides grants to congregations to help them develop new and/or expanding ministries or projects of their own that will bring the churches into closer connection with their community or neighborhood. We also seek to encourage members of WNYACIC congregations to be involved in community groups doing community ministry. We will consider applications from congregations involved in these other outside groups as long as there is participation by church people. Grant money will be given to the church to use for these groups. A grant can be requested for a maximum of $2,000 and can be renewed for a maximum of three (3) years per project, per church. Grants requests for larger amounts will be considered pending available funds and strength of application. A church can request a maximum of two (2) grants per year.
